Merry Christmas

It's in here Atlanta!

My son (9) writes to Santa every year sending the list what he wants and in the end of the letter he always ask for snow. This is not easy for Santa because we live in the South.

But this year, finally Santa heard him!

Merry Christmas, you all!

retromummy

Corrie from retromummy was one of the test knitters for Like Sleeves for babies, and her little baby Elodie was the model!

Here is the pattern sneak peak. Isn't she just gorgeous?

and here is her post about it and more pictures.

Corrie lives in Australia, has 4 kids including a twin and a newborn, operating a cute Japanese fabric shop (retromummy) and posting her blog with full of cooking, sewing, knitting ideas and cute stories about her beautiful family, almost daily bases (there are thousands of followers, off course). She is just amazing!

She was so nice to say yes when I asked her about test knitting, but I didn't realize how busy she was then. Once I realized what was going on with her daily life (I was quite a follower already by then!), I was ready to throw the towel into her ring anytime. But she never boo boo on me and finished such a lovely piece.

Thank you so much Corrie! Next time, I will just send you a finished piece to you so you can just try it on your precious ones.^^)/

Really in last minutes

Sorry, it is not about knitting....

It is really in last minutes but I found this cross stitch pattern as an used book and couldn't resist....

 So cute!!
Things are crazy this week for me (and I bet for everyone) and only few days left before The Eve. Can I make it?? Can I make it??

The patterns are called Santa Rides and from The Prairie Schooler. This particular one above seems out of print but they have so many other wonderful Santa patterns available.

Those are what I got.

Alright, wish me luck!

my model

When I take pictures for my knitting patterns, most of the time my daughter is the model. She's been doing this since I made her a Caiden's Skirt (7 months). She is 3 now and she enjoys modeling and has better understanding about it, but it is still a bit challenge for her to pose straight without moving during shooting. So during shooting, I ask her to pose also with some movements between without-any-funny-move-shoots to keep her entertained even though I know they can't be used for the pattern.

And actually those pictures I love the most.

These are from the shooting for Like Sleeves for kids.

Though sometimes she just feels like this, too......
